Aloo Paratha/ stuffed chappathi

Aloo Paratha is a bread dish originating from the Indian subcontinent. The recipe is one of the most popular breakfast dishes throughout western, central and northern regions of India as well as in Punjab.


For Dough:

Wheat Flour 1 Cup

Salt to taste

Oil 1 tbsp

Warm water 1 cup

For Stuffing

Boiled potatoes( mash well) - 2

Coriander leaves-  1/2 chopped

Cumin - 1tbsp

Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

Garam masala powder - 1 tsp

Salt to taste


In a Mixing bowl add flour salt and oil and add water little by little and knead the dough well for 10 minutes. Set the dough aside for 30 min

Mix all the ingredients for stuffing and  divide into equal parts for the dough

Knead the dough and place the stuffing in the dough and make it round and even

Finally heat a tawa and grease with some oil and fry the paratha both sides and smear with some ghee/ butter before serving

Enjoy  aloo paratha with raitha or plain curd/ pickle.
